Un-Conference sessions are returning to UKOUG 2012.
What are they?
Short, informal, "open mic" presentations lasting 15 or 35 minutes.
When are they?
We will be running the Un-Conference sessions on Wednesday 5th December, so you’ve got Monday and Tuesday to decide your topic and reserve a time-slot.
Where will they be?
We will be in the Exhibition Gallery, sharing the space with the “Oak Talks” – a set of rapid-fire 10 minute lunch-time sessions.
Do we get any audio-visual equipment?
We’ll supply a projector and screen if you want to use your laptop for the presentation, and a flipchart with pens if you prefer to sketch as you speak. We'll also have an amplifier system installed so you won't have to compete with the background noise.
Who can present & How do you sign up?
Any conference attendee can sign up to present in a single (15 minute) or double (35 minute) time-slot. Bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis at the information desk in the Registration area.
How will people know I’m presenting
We will include the list of current sessions on the conference plasma screen displays in Registration and outside Hall 5, but for wider coverage you should also try to promote your own session – you could, for example, tweet it using #UKOUG.
