Speaker biography: Dermot O'Kelly: Dermot O'Kelly is Senior Vice President for Oracle UK, Ireland and Israel region and is responsible for driving Oracle's operations, growth and profitability across these geographies. He also leads the close alignment of Oracle's key accounts, and is the Country Leader for the UK. Dermot O'Kelly is Senior Vice President for Oracle UK, Ireland and Israel region and is responsible for driving Oracle's operations, growth and profitability across these geographies. Dermot joined Oracle in 1997 and prior to undertaking his current role, was Senior Vice President for Alliances & Channels in Oracle Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). As part of this role, Dermot was responsible for Oracle's indirect business in EMEA and for all elements of the Oracle Partner Network, helping drive the growth and success of Oracle's partners. Dermot's previous roles at Oracle have given him experience in all Oracle product areas and include EMEA Human Resource Applications, Managing Director of Ireland, UK Consulting Sales, and Senior Vice President for Oracle Hardware in EMEA. Prior to joining Oracle, Dermot O'Kelly was Sales Manager for Human Resource Systems for McDonnell Douglas Information Systems. He has 20 years' experience in the IT industry. Dermot holds a BSc from Aston University. Andrew Sutherland: Andrew Sutherland is Senior Vice President of Middleware for Oracle Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). He is responsible for growing market share for Oracle’s middleware business in the region. In this role he develops business strategies and manages competence in Middleware across the region. He is also responsible for the interaction with product development teams. In addition, he manages a team of architects; business development managers and technical specialists whose role it is to assist customers make best use of their investments in Oracle’s technologies. Dr Sutherland has over 20 years’ experience in emerging technologies and their application to business problems. In particular, his expertise is in the design of solutions incorporating multi-media, mobile and Internet technology. He has managed major projects in emerging technologies in the areas of Healthcare, Security Services, general office automation and logistics. He is the holder of a BSc, PhD and MBA and is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers.
