Presentation abstract: One of the biggest challenges in delivering PeopleSoft via mobile is understanding underlying mobile architecture and how mobile will impact PeopleSoft applications and customizations.

In this session, we will discuss considerations and options for providing mobile access to PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Human Resources and Financial systems. We will discuss the various mobile technologies currently available for your PeopleSoft applications. We will deep dive into architecture, development methodologies, mobile operating systems, security, hardware and software infrastructure. We will cover implementation options, cost of ownership considerations and caveats when considering how to deliver mobile to your students, faculty and administration.

You will learn techniques to maximize user adoption, avoid the cost of maintaining multiple code bases for PC and mobile devices, techniques for minimizing security and support costs, and considerations important to PeopleSoft applications, customizations and PeopleTools upgrades. Finally, we will discuss lessons learned from mobile projects at Texas Christian University, Coppin State University and University of Cambridge.

Speaker biography: Mr. Grey was amongst PeopleSoft’s first 500 employees and transitioned to Oracle after the PeopleSoft acquisition. Mr. Grey directed implementation of PeopleSoft’s first Financials systems at Goldman Sachs, AXA Equitable, Turner Broadcasting and Boeing and led PeopleSoft’s Southeast region consulting practice to achieve the highest customer satisfaction ratings at PeopleSoft. He managed reporting /metadata development within the PeopleTools group, led the transition of PeopleSoft’s product architecture from client/server to internet and created 5 new products.
