Presentation abstract: Real Application Testing (RAT) is a licensable option which can capture an Oracle database workload in one environment and replay it in another. We will discuss the capture, replay and analysis processes in detail concentrating on their internal implementation. We will consider the limitations of RAT and evaluate the impact of these on the level of confidence that can be placed in the results.
