Presentation Title: Controlling Execution Plans (Without Touching the Code)
Speaker: Mr Kerry Osborne, Oracle ACE Director, OakTable

Presentation abstract: One of the most frustrating problems we face as DBAs is being asked to improve performance without changing application code. Fortunately, Oracle provides many options for doing just that. This presentation covers Outlines, SQL Profiles, Baselines, and SQL Patches. These constructs allow execution plans to be controlled via hints without modifying application code. Scripts will be provided.
