Speaker biography: Chris Beal is a Senior Principal Engineer working within the Systems organization at Oracle. Chris has worked on Solaris for 17 years, implementing new features such as Predictive Self Healing, and more recently Software FMA. Chris has also worked on many critical customer issues, many areas of the kernel including Filesystems, automounter, Signal Handling and Floating Point. This experience helps him in his main role of identifying and implementing improvements to the Serviceability of Solaris. Chris has worked at a number of Financial Software vendors and other manufacturers. Chris holds a degree in Applied Physics from University College London
