The ICC (International Convention Centre) is Birmingham's premier conference venue, with eleven halls, which can be combined, sub-divided and isolated to suit individual needs. The Central Mall is a vital thoroughfare linking the halls to a public way that leads from Centenary Square to the canals, Brindley Place and leisure complexes beyond.
People often overlook the city of Birmingham, sitting at the heart of England's industrial West Midlands. Yet Britain's second largest city is filled with an enormous number of unique attractions, superb restaurants and a multitude of surprises, waiting to be discovered. There are more trees here than in any other European city and perhaps more canals than Venice. It is the 'Balti' restaurant capital of Europe and one of the leading centres of live entertainment in the world. A massive redevelopment of the city centre and canal sides has given rise to a cornucopia of interesting cafés, bars, clubs and galleries. The shopping facilities are extensive, and with constant additional improvements, Birmingham continues to grow bigger, better and more exciting with each passing year.
The ICC is minutes from Birmingham New Street, the UK's largest interchange station. London is only 90 minutes away and trains also run direct to many regional towns and cities. Birmingham is at the centre of the UK motorway network, enabling visitors to travel directly from the M6, M1, M40 and M42. Birmingham International Airport is approximately eight miles south-east of the city centre. Taxis are available outside the Eurohub terminal buildings. There is an extensive network of buses operating from the set down area of the Main Terminal and a reliable and regular public transport bus and taxi system operating throughout Birmingham.
